Contrasts has proven to be our best selling CD. Recorded in Tijeras, New Mexico during the fall and winter of 1998, the album contains a varied selection of songs, ranging from the traditional (Piel Morena) to the utmost contemporary at the time with the popular love song “My Heart will go on”. The idea behind the recording was to create a CD that, while being soothing and mellow, would showcase the diversity of music that could be interpreted with Andean instrumentation. The first piece was our rendition of the ever popular baroque classic “Pachelbel’s Kanon”, done in the key of G major. Also included is a version of Bach’s “Ave Maria” using a Celtic harp for accompaniment.
