Antara

Also known by the name Suri-Siku, the Antara is similar to the Malta in range. The reeds are assembled on one row rather than the two separate rows as for the Siku. The Antara is Pre-Colombian and was utilized by cultures that pre-date the Inca empire, notably the Nazca and Moche cultures. Archaeological studies have unearthed Antaras made from clay and bone, and they are considered one of the oldest instruments in the Americas. Our flutes are made in Bolivia and tuned to the key of G Major.
